It all begins with an idea.

After nearly a decade in the Marine Corps (2003-2012), my body was hurting. After not finding the true solution I needed to ease my pain, the entrepreneurial spikes in my DNA led me to build it.

Painkillers weren’t an option. I felt they didn’t work for me, plus the risk of side effects and addiction to only treat symptoms didn’t makes sense. I hated the smells of topical ointments, then I learned that they have active ingredients labeled as counter irritants by the FDA, that ‘trick’ the brain for “pain relief” - those were out the window too. Heating pads kept me strapped to an electrical outlet, plus they sucked ass for conforming to the skin. Ice or gel packs are great for about 15 minutes, then you’re shit out of luck for another hour or two while it cools back down from room temperature.

A 2007 Marine study revealed an average load of 97 to 135 pounds in a typical combat loadout.

(flak jacket, weapon, ammunition, radio, water source)

This took its toll on my body.

But what was the best way to address this?
